A hard reset, also known as a factory reset, is a way to restore an iPhone to its original factory settings. This can be useful if the device is experiencing software issues, such as freezing or crashing, or if you want to erase all data and start fresh.

To perform a hard reset on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, there are two different methods:

Method 1:

Press and release the volume up button on the side of the device.
Press and release the volume down button on the side of the device.
Press and hold the side button (also known as the power button) until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Method 2:

Go to the Settings app on the home screen of your iPhone.
Tap on General.
Tap on Reset.
Tap on Erase All Content and Settings.
If prompted, enter your passcode to continue.
Tap on Erase iPhone.
If prompted, enter your Apple ID password to confirm.
Tap on Erase to begin the process.
Please note that a hard reset will erase all data and settings from your device, including all personal files, contacts, photos, apps and settings, so it’s important to back up your iPhone before you begin the process.

Once the reset is complete, you will be prompted to set up your iPhone as new device, you will have to setup your device as new if you don’t have a backup or if you want to start fresh.
